I love this image, but I ignored it initially, because little sister’s light wasn’t on and therefore she wasn’t illuminated evenly.
I was re-visiting some images I’ve taken this year and this one popped up in Lightroom. It’s a rad photo. Charlie and Kate are still sharing a room, something that probably won’t be happening their whole lives. And what did I do? I rejected it!
Don’t do this. Don’t delete photos straight away out of your camera. Don’t load them all onto your computer and delete permanently because you think you look fat (talking to you, moms!). Put them in a folder. You don’t have to look at them right now. Let some time pass before you start dumping images. You’re not getting any younger, you know. And what you may perceive as unattractive or unappealing today, you may cherish tomorrow.
There is a fine line between smart editing to save space on your hard drive and eliminating evidence of beautiful days gone by. Know the difference, my friends. Know the difference.
